It's a Small Load

It's a Small Load After All sung to the tune of It's a Small World After All

It's a world of towels, a world of whites,
a world of dark clothes that once were bright.
There's so much wash to do, but if you help me, too
It's a small load after all.

Chorus: It's a small load after all, it's a small load after all, it's a small load after all,
It's a small, small load.

The secret is in putting the laundry away!

I am a magician! Yes! I mean, no, I can't pull a rabbit out of my hat. I have no hat. A hat doesn't make me magic anyway. What makes me magic is...well, let me give you the following example.

Girl (age 8): Mom, I have no nighties. Alas!
Mom (age none of your business): Did you check your dresser drawer?
Girl (sighs impatiently): I checked this morning.
Mom (patiently): Look again.
Girl (looks again): Nighties! You're a magician! You should share your secret with the world.

2nd Verse of 16 Loads

I was born folding laundry at a quarter to nine
My momma said, kid, hang the laundry on the line.
I hung 16 loads of clothes that day.
Then my momma said, "Now you can play."

Chorus.

First Verse

My mother says this stain is made out of mud.
But I say it's made out of mucus and blood.
Mucus and blood and mud and grass
A stain that's tough is a pain in the ass.

16 Loads

(to the tune of 16 Tons)

Chorus

You wash 16 loads
and what do you get?
Another load waiting that 's dirtier yet
St. Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go...
I left my whites in bleach on presoak.

Good Vibrations

I am leaning on the washer and dryer. They are both vibrating gently on my right hip.

It's not as exciting as it sounds.
